We Believe
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Bible is God breathed. The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3: 16-17, NIV) We follow the life teachings of the Holy Scriptures regarding marriage and sacred worth.
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and all living things. The means and method are beyond our understanding. We believe that God is the source of life, abundant life! We are created in the image of God and believe that every person is sacred, from conception to natural death.
We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to Mary, a virgin. He was without sin and came to take our place as a sinner so we could take his place as a child of God. He died on the cross. We believe that Jesus will return in all of His glory and splendor.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who is the third person of the Godhead and came on the Day of Pentecost and filled the disciples who were gathered in the Upper Room in Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit comes to live within the believer and brings transformation.
We know that we are sinners and are still a work in progress. We depend upon the love, mercy and grace of our God and upon each other.
We Belong
We belong to the family of God, members of His kingdom. We look forward to the day when we are in His glorious Presence. We belong to the Christian Church that spans this world. We are also the founding members of McKee Chapel, a newly formed independent church that is totally dependent upon God and each other! We welcome anyone, our doors are open to everyone.
We Become
We become through the indwelling Holy Spirit more like the person that God wants us to be. We strive to be more Christ like in our thoughts, words and actions. However, sometimes we take one step forward and many steps backwards. We are just ordinary folks who experience God in extraordinary ways.
